The Hunua falls are a must see if you're in Auckland and you love waterfalls. And lets face it, we all love waterfalls. Set at 30 metres high spilling over a basalt ledge the falls hold an impressive presence of which you can see from all angles.
From the car park you can make your way over a suspension bridge, you can either turn left to the falls or take a right up to the lookout about a 10 minute walk away. There is plenty of space for a picnic below the falls and in the warmer months opportunity to swim if you are game enough.
